Your custom photos will enhance your brand's aesthetic, but you need to have a clear aesthetic to begin with, to avoid confusing your audience

There is really a lot that goes into creating beautiful custom images, from mood boards to props to lighting.  There are a lot of elements to be just right in order to capture that perfect moment in an image, that will stop your ideal client in their tracks and show them exactly what you do and how valuable it is.

The BIGGEST MYTHS from people who want to hire out styled photography, but don't... 

The most common thing I hear is, "Why should I get custom photos when I can get stock photos for a fraction of the price?" Listen, stock photos are great when you're starting out and need to keep costs low and they are also great for things like blog posts, but when you're ready to take your business to the next level, stock photos for your branding or to showcase your services are not going to cut it. You have no control over how many times people will see that photo elsewhere or how the photo will be presented, but it will still be associated with your brand. If you want potential clients to recognize your brand, value your work, take you seriously and pay premium prices, then you need to position yourself that way and nothing will do it faster or more effectively than beautiful custom photography.

The other myth, if you don't have a physical product, you can't use photos to communicate what you're selling. You totally can! It just means that your images need to communicate the experience of working with you and the experience of the results you will provide. To me, this is actually a lot more interesting than just photographing a product because you really need to tap into the ideal client and how that person wants to feel. This is why I choose to work with service providers and people with digital products.
